Retirement Notice

MPlayer OSX Extended has been retired and won't receive whatever futurity updates.

After evolution of MPlayer OSX Extended has been dull for many years and development of the underlying MPlayer project has moved on to mpv, I have decided that it doesn't make sense to invest more time into this project.

Consider using ane of the following alternatives for video playback on macOS:

IINA: Great UI for mpv
mpv: Has its ain UI but is a bit ambiguous
VLC: Characteristic-packed but clunky interface

MPlayer OSX Extended is the future of MPlayer OSX. Leveraging the power of the MPlayer and FFmpeg open up source projects, MPlayer OSX Extended aims to deliver a powerful, functional and no frills video histrion for OSX.

MPlayer OSX Extended is based on the original MPlayer OSX projection just has since undergone central changes, making it a modern and easy to apply video player.
